ON-SITE PROCESSING SYSTEMS
OSCA Automated Composters
OSCA is an automated, aerobic composter which uses flow-through technology to continually processes organic waste. From end to end the process takes just 12 days. Compost is ejected daily and can be used straight away. We recommend further maturation to improve the quality and biodiversity.
We have both manual and automated options. OSCA systems:
- are easy to install and operate
- have temperature control options
- are odour free with OSCA biofilters
- use very little energy
OSCA Technologies has developed a full range of composters to suit schools, airports, government facilities, resorts , local communities and accommodation camps with capacities from 500 to 2000 L of food and organic waste per week.
OSCA Manual Composters
OSCA manual composters use the same flow-through design principles as the automated units, but are fully independent of external power sources. A low cost option, OSCA Technologies is developing the manual range to make rapid composting available to a greater range of organisations. Manual systems will have capacities from 200 to 500 L of food and organic waste per week.
LUCIE Liquid Compost Extraction Unit
OSCA Technologies are pleased to introduce our Liquid Compost Extraction Unit – LUCIE – the first Australian designed and manufactured extraction system. The LUCIE systems has been designed to aid farmers and growers to return the beneficial microbes from compost to the soil, which reduces the need for watering, fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides.
Liquid compost extraction is different to compost tea brewing; it allows minerals, humus, and microbes to be extracted from compost in a fast and efficient process. Rather than having to brew for 24 hours, the Liquid Compost Extraction Unit allows liquid compost to be extracted continuously, with rates of up to three batches per hour. In addition, the liquid can be safely stored and used over a two week period, rather than having to be used within 24hrs. The microbial diversity that exists in the compost is preserved, but remains inactive until feeding prior to application.
Microbial diversity is essential for crop production with each species performing a specific function related to the growth and development of crops.
The Liquid Compost Extraction Unit is an essential piece of equipment for anyone who wants to improve their soil. Building soil health using basic biological management increases soil organic matter, water and carbon storage capabilities, soil stability and growing outcomes.
The Liquid Compost Extraction technology developed by OSCA, allows farmers, viticulturists, horticulturalists, agriculturalists, and groundskeepers to naturally improve their soil as a growing medium. With better understanding of biological farming and rising environmental, economic and health costs of fertilisers, insecticides and fungicides, OSCA’s compost extraction system can help you better future proof your crops, pasture, sports grounds, parks and gardens.
